Craft Politics? Snubbing? My work sucks?

Your guess is as good as mine ;-) For the third year in a row, I have attempted to take part in a little craft show in a little town at a little curling club and for the third year in a row, I have been forgotten, left out, passed over, fell between the cracks and consigned into the oblivion. (There's a pun and a rant in that last one *L*) Oh ye, the UNWORTHY, ye have been dismissed. Who are you again? ( This comes from the woman who signs the cheques at one of the 'consigned into oblivion' locations -- she has written my name and mailed said cheque to my address for the last 3 years) What type of craft do you do? (See above) Well if you do jewellery, then we don't want a bunch of jewellery people! No Reiki at Catholic Hospitals?

Sometime last year, the US Conference of Catholic Bishops released a statement saying the ancient healing practise in Japan known as reiki is "superstition" that "finds no support either in the findings of natural science or in Christian belief." In an email I received this morning, it was noted that many hospitals in the Boston area are not permitting reiki treatments in addition to shutting down reiki treatment centers located within the hospital premises. There can't be anything wrong with a type of healing where a person BELIEVES they are being healed, and feels better for it.Our minds are powerful, and the potential for the brain to heal the body is largely untapped, especially by "modern" medical science. It seems, with a medical system in place for profit, there's more money to be made keeping people sick than healing them.
