Fair Trade...*sigh*...
sometimes it feels like i have to move to south america or asia in order to sell my creations at fair trade prices...
i can't heat my home or provide for my daughter by selling a hand woven scarf for $10 (i.e. Walmart prices)--- i don't want to hang on a sign on me that says "Intellectually Disabled single-mom trying to provide for her daughter because the father of my child only pays $150 a month in support" -- i don't want people to feel sorry for me, or to guilt or shame them into buying
sales at the market are absolutely TANKING this year.... i have no money to buy presents for my daughter.. i also have no money to buy tires for the vehicle i saved up for and bought this fall...
i am trying so damn hard to make things work and keep things together and be strong and
I'm TIRED.
