Unnecessary Death of a Young Bright Light...RIP Nathaniel McFadden

My heart, tears, prayers and most sincere healing thoughts go out to the McFadden family on the unnecessary death of Nathaniel McFadden.

I first met Nathaniel at the Moncton Market, and I have one of his cat wood prints he did when he was around 10 years old. Nathaniel was a polite, sweet, creative kid, -- I can't believe this had to happen. May his family be strengthened by all the support, love & peace that is surrounding you now during this most heartbreakingly difficult time.

Now, I really hate to ask this question -- but what is a 17 year old doing with a knife to protect himself with in south-eastern New Brunswick? Why? Why a student at the high school my own daughter will probably attend? Now I have to worry about my own child getting stabbed over an argument. And I thought bringing her up in a small town would be a safe option.

What the hell is going on at Tantramar??First the bomb threats and now a Tantramar student is carrying a knife -- for protection???

This young offenders act is a joke anyway -- if the kid can carry a knife and kill someone with it, he's old enough to accept publicity and the public's punishment for his action. You can't tell me he didn't know what he was doing! You don't stab someone and expect to not hurt them seriously..!
